Good Evening Scott - I really like the S Chassis and the integrated storage concept. I haven't had a chance to get my hands on one to date but the software to carve up the storage and assign to the blades looks pretty nice. These days almost all of the Blades we are installing are hooking to some type of storage so the IBM S Chassis provides a nice "Data Center in a Box". I like the HP Shorty Chassis as well (we have one of those in our lab), but I admit the integrated storage sets the S chassis apart for those customers that are looking for it.

As soon as I get back on my feet I plan to start an in depth analysis of the IBM and HP product lines. I will make sure I cover the S vs. HP's Shorty in depth. If you have information you would like to see in particular, let me know.

Thanks for coming by!

I'm interested in your thoughts on IBM's Blade Center S. Do you like the idea of integrated storage or not?

Jeromy - Thank you very much! The medicine I'm on knocks me out so I have been sleeping A LOT! That isn't all bad except I think my wife is ready for me to start helping with the kids again! :)

Anyway, I have a backlog of articles that should start flowing out this weekend at the latest.

Thanks for coming by!
